What It Is
Organization, time management, note taking, expository writing and test preparation: these skills are some of the most sustaining skills your student is not learning in school. Most middle and high school teachers imagine they are intuitive; they aren't. These vital skills must be taught.

Academic Coaching is an individual instructional experience enhancing organization, time management, note taking, expository writing and test preparation.
Though it can involve intensive instruction, it is not a swift solution. Coaching concentrates on the student, strengthening structure and enabling engagement, providing progressive study strategies, organization and time management skills, and general intellectual and moral support.
The ultimate goal of academic coaching is to help your student learn to work smarter, not harder. Academic coaching collaborates with clients to develop an academic master plan, confidence, motivation, and independence through the creation of specific study schedules designed for different study styles.

"Sarah Fraser tutored my 14 yr. old daughter in geometry, English, Latin and World History. She worked with her on complex problem sloving, writing analysis and vocabulary. Additionally, she advised her on study skills/habits that have helped her become more academically successful."
